Summerhaven Wind Energy Centre

Development on the Summerhaven Wind Energy Centre began in 2006. This wind energy project has a maximum generating capacity of 124.4-megawatts. The wind farm is located in Haldimand County. At the maximum generating capacity, the Summerhaven Wind Energy Centre produces enough energy for approximately 32,000 homes in Ontario. This project has been awarded a Feed-in-Tariff contract by the Ontario Power Authority as well as received the Renewable Energy Approval from the Ministry of the Environment. This project is operational.
